Increasing its presence in Eurasia and the Middle East recently, tending to create a trade route together with the Belt and Road Project and thus creating a strategic cooperation that includes the countries of the region are the stages of these steps. In the presence of the US and its allies, its activities in the South China Sea, relations and cooperation with Taiwan are factors that will disturb the Chinese side.
AUKUS’ specific event is to get Australia a nuclear powered submarine. Recently, there has been disagreement over maritime boundaries in the Indian and Pacific Ocean region. Beijing also claims large rights in the South China Sea in terms of hydrocarbon resources. Therefore, there is a conflict of interest involving Southeast Asian countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and the event actually evolved into a point of caution due to the provocation of China. The US does not want China to make the countries of the region economically dependent and establish a dominance. For example, the Trump administration has prevented many countries from using Huawei’s equipment in 5G networks. In a certain period, China applied some economic pressures, especially through tariffs. And in this war, China and Australia were on different sides. The fact that Australia will have a nuclear submarine for maritime and mainland security by the hands of the US and England makes us think that China and North Korea are at the opposite pole of nuclear energy.
